Plovdiv is an old Roman, Tharican town. A whole Roman ampitheather to view. You can actually walk down through the seats but they were closed the day we went however you can still see the beauty of it. The streets were old cobblestone streets, old buildings and remains of walls and buildings. A very interesting start to our Bulgarian visits this week.
