Trip to London

The day after Christmas we went to London. A little family outing to coincide with our Anniversary. (Dec. 26)
We did a lot of walking and sightseeing. I went to London first over 10 years ago with two friends and loved it. Then I was in London with Cody when he had hernia surgery 2 years ago. This time it was nice to go with the whole family. Although we had to listen to a lot of whinning about walking and we had to work around afternoon nap. I'm glad we did it.

London is known for great parks, Hyde park, green park, St. James Park, Regents park. Next to Buckingham palace in St James Park there are lakes with lots of ducks, birds, and pelicans. Oh and squirrels running around the grass. This was probably one of the kids favorite things we did...

The only bad thing about this park is some strange guy came and bugged Brent about wanting his camera and he was mad at him for not handing it over. So he wasn't very polite shall we say, including spitting on us. Thankfully the kids were oblivious to anything going on.

A fun picture of Brent's refletion at Hyde Park

Hyrum is really into Egyptian stuff lately. He has read a lot on the subject and has learned about King Tut. I discovered while planning our trip to London that there is a new exhibit for the next few months on King Tut.
Wow, perfect timing. So Brent and Hyrum went to see the King Tut exhibit and spent two hours enjoying all the treasures. You couldn't take pictures inside so this is the only one from their trip.
Hyrum didn't want to stand too close to this statue.
